JACKSON, Miss. – For the second year in a row, the Jackson State men’s tennis team will take on the TCU Horned Frogs (19-4, 5-0) in the first round of the NCAA Tennis Championships on Friday, May 12 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, TX.  Time is yet to be determined.
JSU (8-21, 5-1 SWAC) finished as the runner up, to the Alabama State Hornets, in the SWAC Tournament, but received the league’s bid to the NCAA Championship due to low APR scores by the Hornets.
Last season, the Tigers won their fourth SWAC title, first under then first year head coach Lois Alexis, en route to taking on the Horned Frogs in the 2016 NCAA Tennis Championships.
