Lamar had a .524 avg. in 7 seven games with 11 hits, 1 home run, 2 doubles, 4 runs scored, 3 stolen bases, 3 rbi’s. in his 21 plate appearances. Lamar also was walked 3 times and hit by a pitch twice.

For his performance during the season, Lamar was named to the Cal Ripken South All-Star Team and will represent the DC Grays in the All Star Game on Monday, July, 10th.
Lamar leads the Grays in nearly every offensive category. He has a .388 batting average (1st), 16 RBIs (1st), two home runs (3rd), six stolen bases (2nd) and a .475 on-base percentage (1st). His .388 batting average also puts him second in the entire Cal Ripken League. Lamar has also stepped up as a leader on the Grays team as he competes in his third—and best—season with the Grays.
The Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League is an amateur summer wooden bat baseball league comprised of ten teams in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Region. The leagues regular season consists of 40 games with teams of no more than 35 players 22 years of age or younger.
The All-Star Game will be held at Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, Maryland. Admission to the game is $5.
