Jesse Anderson enters his second season as a member of the Jackson State baseball team.
Jesse Anderson made 20 appearances on the mound for the Tigers during the 2016 season with three starts. He pitched 33.2 innings for a 7.49 ERA and a 1-3 record and five saves. He tallied 36 hits against, 41 runs (28 earned), and 34 strikeouts. Batters saw a .269 batting average against him.
Among the JSU pitching staff, Anderson ranks fourth in losses, first in saves, fifth in batters struck out, second in appearances, sixth in games started, first in games finished, and third in games in relief.
In the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Anderson ranks first in saves and third in games finished.
He joined the Jackson State baseball team after graduation from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa. While at HCC, Jesse was twice awarded Academic All Region and graduated with honors.
While in high school (North Park Collegiate and Vocational School, Canada), he was a member of the Trojans baseball, football, and swim team and aided his team in winning the ‘AA’ Provincial Championship.
Personal: Jesse is the son of Rick Daviault and Lisa Anderson. He has four brothers, Noah, Owen, Finn and Russel, and one sister, Emma.
