Jackson State baseball third baseman Ty Hill was again named to the Black College Nines Elite Team.
Hill (6-1, 210; Â Sr., Saltillo, Miss.) earned the honor for the third straight season. This season, he batted .387 (3rd in the SWAC), is second in the SWAC and tied for 11th nationally in on-base percentage (.520), is fifth in the SWAC in on-base plus slugging% (1.139), and is tied for sixth in the league in slugging% (.619).
Hill is tied for ninth in the league in doubles (16), is tied for 11th in hits (70), tied for sixth in triples (four), has a career-high six home runs, and is tied for 10th in RBI (53). Hill had 17 multi-hit games (8 2-hit, 9-3-hit), and 14 multi-RBI games (7 2-RBI, 4 3-RBI, 3 4-RBI).
Earlier this week, Hill earned All-Southwestern Athletic Conference honors for the third straight season and was a finalist for the Ferris Trophy as the top college baseball player in the state of Mississippi.
