JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson State has announced its 2020 football schedule, which feature 11 games, including five at home and five on the road, and the annual Southern Heritage Classic in Memphis.

With our annual game in Memphis, as well as a matchup versus a quality FBS opponent and tough SWAC slate, our schedule is filled out well. I need to give our vice president and athletic director,
Ashley Robinson, a lot of credit for making this happen."
The Tigers open the 2020 campaign Saturday, September 5 with a non-conference matchup against Langston. It's the first time JSU has opened a season at home since 2014.
JSU then travels to Memphis and will meet up with Tennessee State (Saturday, Sept. 12) in the 31
st version of the Southern Heritage Classic.
The Tigers make a return trip to Hattiesburg and will play Southern Miss (Saturday, Sept. 19) for the second time in three years.
Beginning in 2020 the SWAC has moved to an eight-game conference slate and the Blue & White open league play at Southern (Saturday, Sept. 26).
The Tigers return home for a pair of conference games. JSU hosts Texas Southern (Saturday, October 3) for Homecoming, while Prairie View A&M (Saturday, October 10) follows. JSU then travels to Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Saturday, Oct. 17) before a built-in bye week.
Coming off the bye week, the Tigers host Mississippi Valley State (Saturday, October 31) and follow with Alabama A&M (Saturday, Nov. 7).
JSU closes out the regular season with a pair of road games and travel to Alabama State (Saturday, Nov. 14) and Alcorn State (Saturday, Nov. 21).
The 2020 SWAC Championship is set for December 5.
