JSU Mission Statement
The mission of the Division of Athletics at Jackson State University (JSU) is to conduct an athletics program that promotes and protects the comprehensive educational welfare of student-athletes, while fostering athletic competitiveness, promoting leadership development, community involvement, and campus integration through idea generation, innovative use of technology, knowledge acquisition, and provision of fair and equitable opportunity for all.
Building on the rich heritage and tradition of championship and greatness, the Division of Athletics will serve as a model program, both academically and competitively, for Division I athletics by developing a national reputation of excellence and the ability to attract and retain quality staff and student-athletes.
