ACADEMIC SERVICES OVERVIEW
The Tiger Center for Academic Services and Student-Athlete Development is responsible for providing support for Jackson State University’s student-athletes in all 16 varsity sports. The goal of our unit is to offer comprehensive resources tailored to improve the academic skill set of each student-athlete. The department is complete with five full-time academic advisors, computer labs, study area, tutorial center, meeting rooms, classrooms, and a student learning center. Academic Services include: academic advising and degree planning, weekly academic counseling, review of academic performance, monitoring of continued NCAA athletic academic eligibility, supervised study hall, and tutoring.
TIGER CENTER LOCATION
The Tiger Center for Academic Services and Student-Athlete Development is located on the first floor of the HT Sampson Library.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED
