BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jackson State alum, media personality, and JSU athletics staffer, Robert "
Rob Jay" Jeuitt was announced as a member of the 2021 SWAC Hall of Fame and is set to be enshrined on Friday, December 17
th at 7/6 p.m. at the Omni Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jeuitt is one of eight that was chosen by the SWAC Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
"I'm honored and blessed to be inducted into the SWAC Hall of Fame," Jeuitt said. "I grew up in Jackson, went to Jackson State and covered the wonderful student-athletes and coaches that competed in the SWAC for over 30 years. Some of the greatest student-athletes and coaches to ever live competed in this great conference. It's a humbling experience and I would like to thank the SWAC Hall of Fame Selection Committee for selecting me."

Shortly after graduation from JSU, Jeuitt served as play-by-play announcer for Alabama State women's basketball in 1989 before becoming the sideline reporter for Jackson State football in 1990.
Jeuitt became permanent play-by-play football and basketball announcer for JSU in 2004. The Lanier High School graduate served as a special reporter for ESPN's Inside the Game where he covered Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State, and JSU. Jeuitt has hosted numerous radio and television shows promoting the SWAC throughout his career in broadcasting.
He started WLBT in 1991 as a sports reporter and in 1996 was promoted to the 10 p.m. anchor desk as a sports anchor. He was then promoted to sports director at WLBT and anchored the 6 and 10 p.m. sportscasts. Throughout his tenure at WLBT, Jeuitt provided exceptional coverage of the SWAC.
Jeuitt then found himself back at JSU and since 2014 he has worked in several capacities, including interim executive director for university communications, general manager of JSUTV, and now as Assistant Athletic Director for Video Services and Broadcasting for the JSU Division of Athletics.
