JACKSON, Miss. – Following Jackson State's dominating 42-12 win over Bethune-Cookman, the Tigers are ranked No. 16 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 20 in the STATS PERFORM FCS Top 25 Poll.
Off to the best start since 2011 (6-1, 4-0 SWAC), JSU received 234 points moved up four spots in the FCS Coaches Poll and totaled 285 points. The Blue and White tallied 285 points in the STATS PERFORM FCS Top 25 poll and moved up four sports.
The Tigers are the only SWAC program to be ranked in either poll.
JSU returns to action on Saturday at SWAC opponent Mississippi Valley State. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. from Itta Bena, Mississippi.
