James Houston was named to the 2021 Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Coaches' All-America Team, the organization announced Wednesday morning.
Houston is the most dominant defensive linemen in the SWAC. he totaled 70 tackles (52 solo) and 33 tackles for loss. Houston also contributed 16.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one defensive touchdown, and eight QB hurries. The Tigers featured the top-ranked defense at the conclusion of regular season play and allow just 13.8 points and 258.3 yards per game. Houston is also All-SWAC First Team defensive lineman and the SWAC Newcomer of the Year.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pounder will also participate in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and East-West Shrine Bowl.
