JACKSON, Miss –  The Jackson State University men's basketball program released the 2021-2022 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The schedule consists of 30 total games with nine matchups scheduled to be played at home.

The season will open up Nov. 9 with a road matchup against the University of Illinois, and will play 11 additional non-conference road matchups that includes games against Indiana University, Marquette University, and Drake University. The Tigers will wrap up non-conference season with the home opener against Southeastern Baptist College in the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center on Dec. 29 with a 6 p.m. tip.

JSU will then head back on the road to face Alabama State and Alabama A&M on Jan. 8 and Jan. 10 to begin SWAC play. 

SWAC home games begin with Prairie View A&M on Jan. 15. Men's basketball will also host SWAC matchups against Texas Southern (Jan. 17), Grambling State (Jan. 29), Southern (Jan. 31), Florida A&M (Feb. 12), Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 14), and Pine Bluff (Mar. 3) before the regular season finale on Mar. 5 against Mississippi Valley State.

The 2022 SWAC Basketball tournament is scheduled for Mar. 8-12 in Birmingham, Ala. The full schedule can be found here.
