NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Jackson State University men's tennis team fell short in its bid to capture the 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Championship today at the Pepsi Tennis Center.
The #2 Tigers fell to #1 Alabama State 4-0, finishing their season with a record of 9-8.
In doubles action, JSU's
Juan Soria/Paul Centeno fell to ASU's Juan Rodriguez/Chris Andre 6-4, while the duo of Hiromu Ideda/
Agustin Agosto dropped a 6-2 matchup against Ruan Du Preez/Sam Bojracharya.
In singles, Bajracharya defeated JSU's Centeno 6-2, 6-2, Andre defeated Soria 6-1, 6-3 and Kristofer Johnson defeated Ikeda 6-3, 6-3.
