BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) has tabbed Jackson State's Daphane White SWAC Player of the Week for her outstanding performances during this past week of conference play. Florida A&M's Mide Oriyomi was named Impact Player of the Week.
Player of the Week
White posted back-to-back impressive outings this past week of competition as the Tigers went 2-0 for the week with wins over Mississippi Valley State and Alcorn State respectively. She averaged a league leading 21.0 points per game to go along with 10.5 rebounds per game. White shot 73 percent from the field and also contributed two blocks.
White notched two double-doubles between the competitions, scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds against Mississippi Valley and 16 points and 10 rebounds in the Tigers' win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Impact Player of the Week
Oriyomi led the Rattlers with 16 points, seven rebounds and two steals during the Rattlers' contest at Prairie View A&M on Monday. She tallied 16 points, four assists, and added two steals during Florida A&M's road win over Texas Southern on Saturday. For the week she averaged 16.0 points per game, 2.5 assists per game, and 2.0 steals per game.

The Tigers will enter its Florida road trip with a stop at Florida A&M University Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. CT at the Al Lawson Center.
