Jackson State (21-30) went 2-3 in Baker play, winning their first two round rounds against Oklahoma Christian (954-893) and Alabama A&M (940-843). They would drop their final three to nationally ranked Sam Houston (1027-965), Witchita State (1045-921), and Newman University (1049-845).

The Tigers went 1-4 in the Traditional rounds, suffering losses to SWAC foes Southern (996-882), Alabama State (990-921) and Prairie View (1035-906). They also would fall to Stephen F. Austin State (1080-975). Their lone win on the day came against Emmanuel in a 983-901 win.

In bracket play, the Tigers won their first-round match up against Prairie View 4-1. They fell short of a comeback against Louisiana Tech 4-3, after being down 3-1 in the second round. They lost their final round match to Alabama State 4-2 to close out the weekend.

Head coach  Michael Boykins

On the team's performance:

"I would say the record is not indicative of our play this weekend. These 18 teams are arguably the best in the entire country. Juliana making the podium for all-tournament team is huge."
