JACKSON, Miss. | Jackson State used a trio of running backs going over the century mark and a stingy defense to defeat Bethune-Cookman 28-13 at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Defensively, the Tigers had 22 different players record a tackle led by Frankie Dunn Jr. with five tackles.

The two teams traded points in the second with Terrell scoring on a 25-yard run to give Jackson State a 14-10 lead. After a Bethune-Cookman field goal in the third to trim the deficit to 14-13, Davenport pushed the lead to 21-13 with a six-yard run before B.J.
