BIRMIINGHAM, Ala. | Nate Rembert and Jared Lockhart were awarded Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) weekly awards by the conference office on Monday afternoon for their performances against Alcorn State in the regular season finale.

Rembert was named the co-Offensive Player of the Week after hauling in six receptions for 100 yards including a game-changing 55-yard touchdown reception near the end of the first half that pushed the Tigers lead to 24-7 following a turnover. Meanwhile, Lockhart was named the co-Newcomer of the Week after finishing 13-of-16 passing for 169 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing the ball 12 times in the win.

Jackson State is off this week before hosting Prairie View A&M in the 2025 Pepsi SWAC Football Championship Game sponsored by GM on Saturday, Dec. 6.
