Tigers fall short to Nicholls

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 THIBODAUX, La. | Jackson State fell to the Nicholls Colonels, despite solid efforts from both teams on Friday.

On the women's side, freshman Kayleigh Didderiens and sophomore Paula Corbalan pushed both of their singles matches to three sets. Didderiens dropped a heartbreaker to Sophia Sara Safarova 6-1, 5-7, 2-6, despite winning the first set. Corbalan rallied back to win her second set but would ultimately lose to Paulia Villegas 1-6, 6-2, 2-6. 

The dynamic duo of Ching Chang Chiu and Maas Schotanus led the way for the men, winning the doubles' point, with a 6-3 victory. In singles play, Fabrizio Fallas extended his match to three sets with a win in the first, before falling 6-4, 2-6, 2-6.
