JONESBORO, Ark. | Jackson State competed in the Mid-Winter Classic hosted by Arkansas State over the weekend, where they faced nine ranked opponents.
On the first day, the Tigers faced number one-ranked Jacksonville State, number third-ranked Youngstown State, number 17th-ranked Wichita State, and conference foe Alabama State. They finished with a 2-2 record, including a 1032-1020 victory over the Shockers.
The Tigers' schedule only became tougher in the Traditional rounds, as they faced all ranked opponents including number nine Maryville, number 11 Stephen F. Austin, number 22 Wisconsin-Whitewater, and number two Arkansas State.
Jackson State concluded the tournament with matches against number seven Louisiana Tech, number 21 McKendree, and Alabama State.
