Women’s golf hits the course for the first time this season

SUWANEE, Ga. | Jackson State women's golf hits the course for the first time this season at the 40th annual Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Collegiate Invitational at the Laurel Springs Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.

Laurel Springs Golf Club was designed by Jack Nicklaus to offer maximum enjoyment and challenge for players of all skill levels. Working with the beautiful natural environment, the beautiful par-71 layout is surrounded by rolling hills, tree-lined fairway.

Isabella Christy will be playing in the No. 1 slot in the season opener, followed by Jannel Calixterio in the No. 2 spot, and Maddy Beeching at No. 3. The remainder of the opening lineup includes Josefina Serres-Scheffer at No. 4 and Alex Washington at No. 5. The Tigers will face off against Delaware State, Paine, North Carolina Central, Texas Southern, Southern, Savannah State, Fisk, and Chicago State.
