Tigers wrap up first tournament of the season, Wallace finishes in top 15

DULUTH, Ga. |  The Jackson State men's golf program concluded play on Thursday at the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational at TPC Sugarloaf, the first tournament for the Tigers since bringing the program this summer.

The program went dormant in 2017 before Rob Ford II was hired as the head coach this spring and re-started the program this summer. The Tigers shot a low round of 312 in the second round, paced by Edward Wallace with team-low 73. He started, and ended, the tournament with an 80 to finish at 17-over (233) and a top-15 finish to start the year. Three of the five golfers for Jackson State shot in the 70s for the second round.
