HUMBLE, Texas | The Jackson State bowling team closed the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) West Round Up at the top of the conference with a 12-2 record after an undefeated third day of competition.
The Tigers took down Texas Southern 960-879 in the first match of the day, then defeated the Prairie View A&M Panthers 1,000-787. In the final two matches, the Tigers faced off against and defeated the Southern Jaguars (900-759) and Alabama A&M Bulldogs (935-867) to finish the round up with a 12-2 overall record.
Paige Hubert led all bowlers with an average of 209.07 with a 2,927 pin total, cementing herself in the top spot in the individual standings.
Tiara Henderson joined Hubert in the top three with a third-place finish and a 190.64 average.
Faith Washington rounded off the Tigers' top five with a fifth-place finish (188.29).
