HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Jackson State began the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Roundup on Friday morning, going 5-0, improving to an impressive 17-2 record against conference opponents.
In their first matchup against the Florida A&M Rattlers, the Tigers recorded a match-high 1,015 score to the Rattlers' 792. They followed that up with an 856-843 win against the second-seeded Alabama State Hornets, while they cruised past the Grambling State Tigers in a 780-562 victory in the third match. The Tigers secured their final two wins of the day against Texas Southern (877-848) and Prairie View A&M (911-847).
After the first day of competition,
Faith Washington,
Paige Hubert, and
MacKenzie Conway are all placed in the top 10, with Washington in second place with an average of 190.60 and 953 total pins.
