JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State men's tennis team shut out the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils in a quick 4-0 victory on Friday afternoon.
Jhoan Vaquero and
Federico Pickenstainer secured doubles point for the Tigers after cruising to a 6-0 victory at number two.
Needing just two wins due to forfeits, the Tigers relied on two of their seniors to seal the deal in singles play. Vaquero finished the day with a perfect record after going 6-0, 6-0 at number four.
Gokalp Ayar closed out the contest with another 6-0, 6-0 victory to give the Tigers their second Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) win of the season.
