HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Despite winning the doubles point, Jackson State's men's tennis team suffered a road loss to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers' lone point came from combined efforts from
Ching Chang Chiu and
Chen Hung-Yu, and
Federico Pickenstainer and
Jhoan Vaquero. Chiu and Hung-Yu won the first match in doubles play with a 6-2 win over Agustin Marquez and Arnav Pathange. Pickenstainer and Vaquero clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 victory at number three.
In singles play, Vaquero and Hung-Yu both won the first set of their respective matches with identical 6-4 scores. Senior
Gokalp Ayar also scored five points in his first set.
