JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State women's tennis team suffered a home loss to the Southeastern Louisiana Lions on Thursday evening.
In doubles play, the Tigers fell behind after a 6-3 win by Taisia Bolsova and Aitana Darder over
Isabella Benavides and
Paula Corbalan. The Lions secured the doubles point after another 6-3 win on court three.
Despite the Tigers fighting back against the Lions in singles play, led by
Mariia Iordanova,
Daniela Tovar, and
Victoria Linkovski, who both pushed their opponents to three sets, Southeastern Louisiana continued to push the tempo. They recorded three more wins, including one from court one, after a win by opponent requirement from Corbalan. The other two wins came from courts five and six as the Lions secured their victory.
