Biography
2021: Expected to compete for playing time in the secondary.
2020: Did not play.
2019: Started the first four games of the season before suffering a year-ending achilles injury...later granted a medical redshirt…notched 10 tackles and had two interceptions…posted a season-high six tackles at Missouri (Sept. 14)…interception in back-to-back games at Missouri and vs. West Virginia State (Sept. 21).
2018: Started 11 of 13 games at cornerback…Collected 30 tackles, including 22 solo stops…two interceptions and tied for second on the team with nine pass breakups…finished with a season-high five tackles vs. Jacksonville State (October 10) and at No. 3 Weber State (Dec. 1)…posted one interception at Southern Illinois (Sept. 15) and vs. Austin Peay (Oct. 13).
2017: Played in 11 games...recorded 15 tackles with nine solo stops...had one interception, three pass breakups and one fumble recovery...finished with his first career interception in the Redhawks season-opener at Kansas (9/2)...had a season-high three tackles, all solo stops, vs. Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 30)...also recovered a fumble against the Colonels...Matched a season-best three tackles vs. Murray State (Nov. 11)...added 12 punt return yards.
2016: Played in three games on special teams...tallied one tackle vs. Tennessee State (Nov.19)...returned two punts vs. Indiana State (Sept. 17).
Personal/High School: Named the 2015 SEMOBall Awards Offensive Player of the Year and a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com and 247Sports.com. The 2015 Carr Trophy recipient and three-time First-Team All-State selection at Cape Central High School. Set 12 school records and named the 2014 All-Southeast Missourian Football Player of the Year. Received the 2014 SEMO Ball Awards Offensive Football Player of the Year and Male Athlete of the Year awards and accumulated 992 rushing yards, 771 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns, averaging 8.4 rushing yards per carry as a senior. Finished his outstanding prep career with 2,635 receiving yards and 38 receiving touchdowns, both school records. Holds Cape Central records for single-season touchdowns, receiving touchdowns, yards per catch points scored and interceptions; career marks for receiving touchdowns, total TDs, receiving yards, yards per catch, and points scored; the longest interception return for a touchdown, longest TD catch and most TDs in a single game.
