Alondras Strong enters his first season as a defensive analyst at Jackson State after serving two years at Alabama A&M.

Strong began his coaching career serving as an offensive graduate assistant, working with the wide receivers and quarterbacks for a majority of the 2023 season before being promoted to running backs coach in February 2024.

While at Alabama A&M 2023, Strong helped the Bulldogs offense finish eighth nationally in total offense with 5,320 yards. The team averaged 30.7 points per game and 443.3 yards per game in the same season, while finishing as the No. 1 ranked team in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in total offense and passing yards. They recorded 701 yards of total offense against Bethune-Cookman in the same year. 

In 2024, he coached Donovan Eaglin, who was named All-Conference by the coaches in the SWAC and Phil-Steele All-Conference. He rushed for five touchdowns and 145 yards against UAPB under Strong, and earned SWAC Offensive Player of the Week. He was also named HBCU+ FCS National Player of the Week, and BOXTOROW co-Offensive Player of the Year.

A native of Huntsville, Ala., Strong has a wealth of experience in the SWAC. Strong is no stranger to the rivalry with Alabama State, having played for the Hornets from 2020-22. Before attending Alabama State, Strong spent two seasons in Birmingham (Ala.) at UAB.

He began his prep football career at Hazel Green High School in Hazel Green, Ala., before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for his senior season. While in Bradenton, Strong was a part of the IMG National Team that went 8-0 during the 2017 season and finished No. 2 overall in the Maxpreps High School Football National Rankings.
