Brett Bartolone

Brett Bartolone (pronounced bar-to-lone-ee) brings the Air Raid offense to Jackson State for his first season after being named offensive coordinator in Spring 2022. Starting his coaching career in 2016, Bartolone has quickly risen up the coaching ranks.

Prior to Jackson State, Brett was an offensive analyst and assistant quarterbacks coach for the University of Nevada, where the Wolfpack had fourth-ranked passing offense and 15th-ranked scoring offense in the nation in 2021.  Under Bartolone’s tutelage, QB Carson Strong won back to back Mountain West Conference Offensive player of the year in 2020 and 2021.  Strong finished the 2021 season with 36 TD, which is the most single season passing TD’s in Nevada program history.

In 2018 and 2019, Bartolone served as the offensive coordinator/QB’s coach at Division III Carleton College, where he helped the Knights improve their win total by three games in his first season, and improved on that total by one game in 2019.  In both seasons, the Knights’ quarterbacks led the conference and finished Top 10 in the country in completions per game.

Bartolone spent 2017 at Division III St. Lawrence University, where he served as the quarterback's coach. In his lone season, he helped QB Sean Richardson earn Liberty League Honorable Mention.

His first stint as an offensive coordinator came with The Flash Football Club, a European Amateur Team in France.  In his lone season, The Flash were French National Champions, finishing as the #1 team in France and the #10 overall club in all of Europe. Bartolone’s offense averaged 31.6 points per game.

In 2016 Brett was the WR’s Coach at Division III Whittier College in Los Angeles, CA.

After career-ending shoulder injuries at Washington State University, Bartolone stayed with the team as a student assistant, where he helped with the wide receivers and the offensive coaching staff. In 2015, the Cougars won the Sun Bowl.

In his only full season at Washington State in 2012, Bartolone started at WR and led the team in receptions as a true freshman for Coach Mike Leach, who is the co-creator of the Air Raid offense.  He was named 2012 All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention and 2012 College Football News Freshman All American Honorable Mention.  He was part of Coach Leach’s first recruiting class at WSU.

Bartolone graduated from Washington State in 2016 with a major in Sport Management and minor in Business.  He was part of the Washington State University All-Academic Team in all four years.
