Jonathan Bradley

Jonathan Bradley was named JSU defensive coordinator / defensive line coach in February 2023.

Last season, Bradley was co-defensive coordinator at Alcorn, where the Braves ranked third in the SWAC with 39 sacks and fourth in total defense yielding 325.1 yards per game.
 
Prior to Alcorn, Bradley coached at Arkansas – Pine Bluff, serving in various positions since 2019, including defensive coordinator, defensive line coach, and Associate Head Coach.

In 2019, UAPB improved to fourth in total defense in the SWAC, allowing less than 374.0 yards per game and were tied for second in the league in fewest touchdowns allowed with 38.  The Golden Lions were third in rushing defense (yielding 143.7 ypg), and tied for the fewest passing TDs allowed in the league (15).

In Spring 2021, the Golden Lions tied for the league lead in sacks en route to the SWAC Western Division Championship and a berth in the SWAC Championship Game.

Prior to UAPB, Coach Bradley spent time at North Carolina Central as an assistant defensive line coach. 
Bradley spent four seasons in the NFL as a defensive lineman with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions. A four-year player at Arkansas State, Bradley began his coaching career at his alma mater before his tenure at NCCU.

Bradley spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons on the Arkansas State University coaching staff as an assistant with the defensive and offensive lines.  During his two years with ASU, the Red Wolves captured back-to-back Sun Belt Conference titles and posted consecutive GoDaddy.com Bowl victories.

A three-time all-conference defensive lineman at Arkansas State, Bradley garnered first-team all-Sun Belt honors during his final two seasons after recording eight sacks in 2002 and a team-high four sacks in 2003. He capped his college career by playing in the 2004 Blue-Gray Classic All-Star game.

A native of West Helena, Ark., he played running back, fullback and defensive line in the NFL, spending three seasons with the Buccaneers (2004-06) and one season with the Lions (2007).

Bradley graduated from Arkansas State with a bachelor’s degree in sports management with an emphasis in business in 2011.
