Bobby Mitchell

Bobby Mitchell III enters his second season at Jackson State, this time as an offensive analyst. He spent the previous season as an assistant offensive line coach, where he coached two All-SWAC players in Deontae Graham (1st team) and Evan Henry (2nd team).

Mitchell arrived at JSU after spending the 2022 season at the University of Central Missouri, where he served as an assistant running backs coach.

Prior to his time at UCM, the Brandon native spent some time at East Central Oklahoma University as a graduate assistant working with quarterbacks. 

Before going to East Central Oklahoma, he served as a graduate assistant coaching running backs at his alma mater, Bethel University during the 2021 season. He helped the Royals to an 8-3 record. The starting running back Bryce Kunkle ran for 879 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Mitchell received his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minor in Health from Bethel University in 2020. He played running back for Bethel University and Mississippi College. He is currently working on his master’s in Business Administration at JSU.
