Gabrielle Moore came to Jackson State in 2016 as an assistant coach and was promoted to head coach two years later.
Moore manages practices, training sessions, schedule development, and overall program administration.
In 2017 both men and women made it to the finals of the SWAC Championships and the Men competed in the NCAA Championship tournament. Also, in the fall of 2017, she led the men to a HBCU National Championship First Place Title as well as the women placing second out of 16 HBCU Colleges and Universities.
Moore came to JSU after serving as the men’s and women’s assistant coach at Lake Forest College. While at Lake Forest College, Moore helped the women’s team win their first conference championship since 2003 and posted a 13-4 overall record.
Moore worked at College Park Athletic Club, one of the top tennis clubs in the Midwest where she taught nationally ranked junior players in the high performance, super excellence, and tournament training classes.
Moore is a graduate of Southern University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2015. While at Southern she was a four-year letter-winner. Moore and her son, Karter reside in Jackson.
