Camille Carter joined the Jackson State University staff in September 2023 in the role of Administrative Assistant for the Division of Athletics.
Previously, Carter worked at the Mississippi Lottery, where she gained years of experience in effective communication and professional customer service. Her responsibilities included evaluating applications, ensuring requirements were met, scheduling, compiling reports, and making significant contributions to the company’s success.
The skills Carter acquired at the Mississippi Lottery are now being applied at Jackson State to assist with the Sports Medicine program, specifically with the new ATS (Athletics Trainer System) program, which involves collaboration with MMCC, SWAY, the coaching staff and the university’s student-athletes.
Before working with Jackson State’s Sports Medicine program, Carter worked at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, assisting with ticket sales.
A native of Clarksdale, Miss., Carter is a member of the National Association of Athletics Ticket Sales and Operations (NAATSO). She is looking forward to continuing her education at Jackson State.
