Dr. Derek Scott enters his 18th year at Jackson State University after joining the Tigers in June of 2007 as the Director of Strength and Conditioning.
Dr. Scott serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, a position he has held since January 2012. Apart of his responsibilities include, Program Supervision, Athletic Facilities, Fiscal Management, GameDay Operations, and Management Team.
He is a 1996 graduate of Alabama State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Educational Psychology.
He also received his Master of Science (M.S.) in Counseling Psychology from Alabama State University in 1998 before earning his highest degree of education in 2013 from Jackson State University with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD in )Educational Leadership.
