Lisa Casimie

Lisa Casimie joins the Jackson State athletic department for her first year as an Academic Advisor.

She previously served as Compliance Coordinator and Academic Advisor for women’s volleyball for two years at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In her role, she assisted with the daily compliance and academic duties, including working one-on-one with student-athletes in time management, academic strategies, academic advising, retention, and graduation rates. She assisted with maintenance of all NCAA required forms, maintaining information within the compliance database, writing and distributing monthly compliance newsletters, and managing FrontRush operations in the Office of Athletic Compliance.

Casimie served as a graduate assistant for Student-Athlete Academic Service and Office to Athletic Compliance before being promoted at UAPB. She also served as a liaison for the athletics department, working closely with the Office International Programs and Studies.

She was a two-year letterwinner for the Lady Lions volleyball team. She was named Newcomer of the Year 2017, Second-Team all-conference and preseason SWAC First-Team 2018. Casimie also received multiple MVP accolades during the 2017 preseason tournaments.

Casimie is a UAPB alumna, earning her Master’s in Secondary Education in 2021 and Bachelor of Science Health/Physical Education/Leisure-Recreation 2019. She is a native of St. Lucia, the Caribbean.
