Box Score ALLEGANY, N.Y. – The Jackson State men's basketball team was not able to overcome a slow start and Saint Bonaventure defeated the Tigers 67-36 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers (0-2) struggled to find a rhythm on offense and converted 25.9 percent (13-of-62) of their shots from the field.
The Bonnies (1-1) shot 34.5 percent from the floor (20-of-55).
Venjile Wallis scored a team-high 14 points and converted 4-of-5 free-throws.
Jontrell Walker added nine points and recorded two rebounds.
Chris Howell grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and handed out three assists.
JSU returns to action Friday, November 16 at Boise State.
