Boise State Rallies in 2nd Half to Defeat Jackson State

Box Score BOISE, Idaho – Venjile Wallis dropped a game-high 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field as Boise State used a second-half run to defeat Jackson State 70-53 Friday evening.

The Tigers (0-3) started fast and led by as 11 points in the first half. JSU shot 44 percent (12-of-27) from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 27-26 lead.

Boise State (1-1) outscored JSU 44-26 in the second half and shot 48 percent (16-of-33) in the half.

Chris Howell added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. He also handed out three assists.

Lemmie Howard came off the bench and scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds.

Dontelius Ross scored six points and dished out three assists.

Tigers return to action Monday and play in a neutral site game versus Sam Houston State in Johnson City, Tennessee.
