Box Score SAN DIEGO – Chris Powell and Jeremiah Bozeman each netted a team-high nine points as San Diego State defeated Jackson State 87-44 Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

As a team, the Tigers (1-6, 0-0 SWAC) shot 25.9 percent (15-of-58) from the field, while SDSU (4-2, 0-0 MWC) connected on 50.9 percent (29-of-57) of its attempts from the floor.

Lemmie Howard came off the bench and added seven points and grabbed six rebounds. Venji Wallis helped with six points and William Brown added four points and handed out three assists.

JSU returns to action Thursday at Santa Clara.
