Venjie Wallis have proven to be offensive threats for the Tigers. Howell, a Milwaukee native averages 11.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Howell leads the conference in average rebounds per game and his 156 total boards also rank first in the SWAC.

Wallis, a Houma, Louisiana native averages 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Wallis, a 6-foot-6 combo guard does a lot of his damage in the lane with high-percentage shots. Wallis is shooting 44.2 percent (69-of-156) from the field.

Jontrell Walker role is to come off the bench and provide instant offense, which has stood true. The Aurora, Illinois native is averaging 9.4 points per game. Last weekend at Texas Southern, Walker converted four three-pointers to keep JSU in the hunt.

McKinnis Not the Average Freshman

Jayveous McKinnis may be a freshman, but the Brandon, Mississippi native is an important part of the Tigers plans this season and into the future. The 6-foot-7 forward averages 8.2 points and 8 rebounds per game. McKinnis is also converting 67.1 percent (55-of-82) of his attempts from the field.
