The loss ended the Tigers season, yet the Blue and White accomplished a plethora of goals that many did not see fit heading into the season. Some of the accomplishments include finishing the season No. 1 ranked in all of NCAA collegiate soccer in shot on goal percentage (

The Tigers ended the season 8-12 overall and 7-3 in the SWAC regular season play.Â

"The officiating was interesting and missed the mark in my opinion. It didn't have an effect on the outcome  but the match became reckless at some point and the players need to be protected. The stuff at the end was the direct result of a loss of control of the match, there's no getting around that. Credit to PVAMU, Sonia and their whole coaching staff. I hope they go win the whole thing. I think we played the better futbol on the evening but don't have a result to show for it, but that's the game, it can be like that. It's very raw, painful and emotional right now but this team is for real and I love them without any reservation. They've honored the game with their drive, passion and commitment. Our players played brilliantly tonight, and it was an honor to watch them play again this evening. We completed an entire season with basically only 16 players, if you know anything about soccer you know that in and of itself is an astounding feat because we have 27 on the roster which tells you the tale of our injuries. This season has been historic and that's all because of the players we have and the intangibles they bring to the table. If you aren't yet a JSU women's soccer fan, you are missing the best show in town. If I told you everything that's been thrown at us as a team that we have overcome you wouldn't believe me, but trust me when I say we've dealt with every spectrum of the roller coaster and come out closer as a team, playing a better brand of futbol and I think all of our players have become better people. Come watch us in 2020, we don't make promises, except that the players in the JSU jersey will give everything."
