HAMMOND, La. – Dayzsha Rogan scored a game-high 19 points in a tight loss for the Lady Tigers to Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday afternoon, 63-59.
The Tigers trailed by nine points at the half and by five points with under a minute left in regulation but cut the lead down to two points with less than 10-seconds left on the clock in the 4th quarter.
SLU knocked down two free throws put enough distance between the Lady Lions and JSU as SLU ultimately went on to with 63-59.
SLU improved to 3-4 while the Tigers slipped to 1-6 overall.
Rogan tallied a game-high 19
points, finishing 6-of-16 from the field. Rogan
also grabbed a team-highs in rebounds with eight total and steals with three in the contest.
Marneisha Hamer added 12 points along with a team-high eight rebounds (tied with Rogan).
Elexis Peyton collected eight points on 3-of-4 shooting and two 3-pointers.
As a team, JSU was 22-of-60 (36.7 percent) shooting with seven made 3-pointers, 45 rebounds (17 offensive, 28 defensive), 22 points in the paint, and 22 points off of the bench.
The Blue & White return to action on Tuesday, December 10 at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m.
