GRAMBLING, La. – Jackson State scored three runs in the top of the third inning en route to a 4-2 win over Grambling State Wednesday evening in non-conference action.

Kevin Perez entered in relief and tossed six innings to earn the win. The Miami native scattered six hits and allowed no runs and no walks and fanned 11 batters. Sophomore
Nikelle Galatas started and three innings and allowed two hits and two runs (one unearned) and two walks and struck out five batters.

The Tigers return to action Friday and host UW-Milwaukee at 6 p.m. at Braddy Field.
