JACKSON, Miss. - Jackson State hosts Mississippi Valley State Saturday in SWAC play with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m. at the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assmebly Center.

Mississippi Valley State enters the match-up 2-25 overall and 2-13 in the conference. The Delta Devils two conference win of the season came on January 13 in a 72-66 win over Alabama A&M and again against A&M on February 10 in a 67-61 win.

ITTA BENA, Miss. - Jackson State men's basketball team dominated on the hardwood with a 85-65 victory over Mississippi Valley to improve to 4-4 in SWAC play.

The Tigers were led by Roland Grifffin in the contest, who was 8-of-13 for 25 points along with nine rebounds in 27 minutes of action.

Jayveous McKinnis finished with 16 points including five dunks and nine rebounds.

Jonas James had 11 points while Venjie Wallis had 13 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.

Lemmie Howard was solid in 19 minutes of play with 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

The Tigers shot 31-of-67 from the field and were 20-of-26 from the free throw line.

JSU out rebounded MVSU 51-37 and led for 39:01 in the entire matchup including a lead of 27 with 10:44 on the clock in the second half.
