Softball Drops 2-1 Decision to PVAMU

Box Score NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Jackson State softball team dropped a 2-1 decision Sunday afternoon in New Orleans, La., falling to Prairie View A&M for the second time this weekend.

Jackson State was led by Isis Taylor who tallied two hits in the game on three at bats. Taylor also picked up the only run batted in the contest.

Taylor had one double to go along with the two hits while Ariana Cruz was 1-of-2 hitting with a walk and one run scored. 

Tiger Starter, Kayla Owens, threw five innings, giving up two runs and two strike outs. 

The Panthers pounded out five as a team, finishing with two runs to defeat JSU 2-1.

The Tigers fell to 6-15 overall on the season, as they gear up for their first home game tomorrow versus Bryant University at 1 and 3 p.m. at the JSU Softball Complex
