RIVERSIDE, Calif -
The Jackson State men's basketball team plays its third straight home game this Tuesday night, facing California Baptist at 9:00 p.m. CST inside the CBU Events Center. It is the third of 13 non-conference away games for the Tigers.

JSU (0-2) nearly spoiled the home opener for LA Tech, but fell short 70-68 this past Friday at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Jayveous McKinnis recorded his second consecutive double-double and led the Tigers in scoring with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and also added 3 blocks. The forward is averaging a team-high 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds.

Ken Evans Jr. had a tremendous outing for the Tigers. He finished with 19 points while shooting 4-7 from the three point line.

Chance Moore registered 13 points and was a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe.

CBU (2-0) competes in the Western Athletic Conference. The Lancers have played two games this season, defeating San Francisco State, 87-65, and Mississippi Valley 95-66.

Chance Hunter had a team-high 18 points in their season opener against San Francisco State. A quad of Lancers - Tre Armstrong, Daniel Atkin, Taran Armstrong, Ty Rowell, Reed Nottage - combined for 64 of their 95 points.

JSU and California Baptist will meet for the 2nd time on the hardwood. The Lancers won the last meeting in 2019, 93-70.

Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m. CST at the CBU Events Center and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Season tickets are now on sale to the public for the 2021-22 men's and women's basketball season. Tickets can be purchased at the JSU Ticket Office at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, online at TicketMaster, and at 601-354-6021.
