Jackson State Defeats Miles 14-3 to Cap Rare Triple-Header

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State softball team capped a rare triple-header with a 14-3 win over Tuskegee Saturday evening.
 
In the first inning, JSU got their offense started. Ariana Cruz drew a walk, scoring one run.
 
The Lady Tigers Varsity tallied six runs in the third inning. Isabel Gusman, Tamira Chatman, Isis Taylor, Sania Dorsey, Monica Serrano, and Kayla Owens each had RBIs in the frame.
 
Owens pitched JSU victory. The righthander allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking zero.
 
Monica Serrano went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI.
 
Earlier in the day Tuskegee edged JSU 6-5 and Spring Hill topped the Lady Tigers 3-0.
