Box Score GRAMBLING, La. - The Lady Tigers continued their perfect season, defeating Grambling by a final score of 3-1 and improved to 7-0 on the season.

Grambling jumped out to a quick lead, winning set one by a final score of 25-22 to take a 1-0 lead. The Lady Tigers rebounded for a set two win of 25-18 to tie the contest back up at 1-1.

In set three, with both teams claiming a point throughout the match, both teams were locked in at a tied score of 4-4 before JSU was able to go ahead 7-4. Midway through the third set, JSU held a tight 14-13 lead.

Leading 21-16, the Lady Tigers closed the third set on a 4-2 run to take the third set on their way to a 2-1 match lead. In the fourth and final set, JSU went on to win by a final of 25-19 to take the 3-1 win.

With the win, Jackson State remains undefeated on the season at 7-0 overall and in SWAC play. 

Jackson State returns to the court on Sunday where they will take on Alcorn State for the second to last game of the regular season. The Lady Tigers and Lady Braves are set to begin at 4 p.m. in Lorman, Miss.
