JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State softball team has won the SWAC East Division Championship and No. 1 seed in the SWAC Softball Tournament that's set to begin May 11 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
 
The Tigers are one of the top offensive teams in the SWAC and lead the conference with 49 doubles and 1.44 doubles per game.
 
JSU sports a .350 on-base percentage and 4.03 runs per game, which both rank No. 2 in the conference.
