ITTA BENA, Miss.| The Jackson State University women's soccer team continued a positive conference campaign as the Tigers defeated Mississippi Valley State on the road, 1-0. The game ended at 75:06 as decided by the referees.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Jackson State (4-6-1, 3-0-1 SWAC) scored fifty-six seconds into the game as Annalise Brunson gave the Tigers a 1-0 advantage
-Mississippi Valley State's (0-7, 0-2-0 SWAC) goalkeeper McKenzie McCarthy recorded her first save of the game as Ayanna Pinder shot at the 4:28 mark
-JSU shot 18 times with no luck before the half
-Jackson State shot at the 45:31 mark to open the second half as Alexes Sanchez to her chances, and McCarthy registered another save for the Devillettes
-Jordan Smith took the final shot of the game for JSU, but it didn't break through the bottom center as it landed in McCarthy's hands
