MONTGOMERY, AL --The Jackson State volleyball team could not out-play an opposing Lady Hornets offense Monday on the road falling to Alabama State in three sets (19-25, 26-28, 21-25).
The loss dropped Jackson State's record to 7-14 overall and 6-3 in SWAC play.
The Lady Tigers attack was paced by Alexis Williams, who finished with 15 kills on the day, and by Nevaeh Bray, who had 11 while hitting .474. got eight digs from Trinity Bryant to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Tigers found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-19. Jackson State trailed by as many as seven points as Alabama State grabbed the advantage for good at 13-12 in a set that was tied up five times before the Lady Hornets took control.
SET 2 | Jackson State lost the second set 28-26, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. In spite of pinpoint serving, the Lady Tigers fell in the set. Jackson State recorded five aces in the set loss.
SET 3 | Jackson State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Lady Tigers lost the set 25-21 despite a strong performance on the attacking side. Jackson State put together a .310 attack percentage with 14 kills in the set loss.
