JSU (0-1) is coming off a 65 -56 loss at Abilene Christian this past Monday at the  Moody Coliseum.

The Tigers  had two players score in double figures, led by Evans, who had 19 points. Watson tacked on 16 points and seven rebounds and Romelle Mansel added seven points and 14 rebounds.Ken Evans, Gabe Watson, and Romelle Mansel combined to account for 75 percent of the Tigers points.

Tulsa (0-1), began the 2022-2023 campaign on the road at Oregon State which resulted in a 73-70 loss. 

The Golden Hurricanes were led by Sam Griffin. He finished the game with a career-high 29 points against the Beavers.  Bryant Selebangue (15 points) and Brandon Betson (13 points), joined him in double figures. Selebangue had a team-high nine rebounds.
